Listen, staying focused during mediation is a task!

When I first started practicing "meditation," it's like my mind wouldn't allow it. I would think of the worst things when trying to silence my mind. The craziest things!!!! I mean, mind hosting a party up there! Haha!

Here are a few things that help me focus a little more during meditation.

Incorporate Yoga

Yoga already focuses on bringing harmony between the mind and body. So, incorporating yoga poses into your meditation practice will help you focus A LOT more.

Here are a few of my favorite yoga poses I like to do during meditation.

  • Helps relieve fatigue

Speaking of breathing!

Focus on Your Breathing!!!!!

Focusing on your breathing during meditation allows you to sort of reset and refocus! R&R!

  1. Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, feel your belly expanding.

  2. Hold that breath for 7 seconds.

  3. Blow out through your mouth slowly for 8 seconds.

This is the "4,7,8 Method," also known as "Controlled Breathing". Controlled breathing has been shown to reduce stress, increase alertness, and boost your immune system. Reset and Refocus!

Listen to Guided Meditations

I love listening to guided meditations! It helps you gain a new perspective on stressful situations, focus on the present, and the NOW. Some guided meditations help you visualize yourself in ways you'd never imagine! Below are some of my favorites!

Self-Love and Self Worth

Healing

Anxiety Reduction

Give these techniques a whirl and see how much you benefit from them!

With Love!
